i love summer
today was a good relaxing summer day. i went to go get my senior pictures today, it was ok. it wasnt fun waiting around, but i got them done, so thats good. hung around the house a little. saw some people i hadn't seen in a while at mcdonald's. then i went and played "crud" at orlando's house. if you dont know how to play, next time you and me are near a pool table, ill show you how. you'll want to play for hours on end. after some intense rounds of crud, i finally went home. i came home and watched the godfather II on tv. i realized that it may tie godfather I for best movie ever. maybe... but its been a great day, im really going to miss summer for times like these. im up at 2:30 and loving it. tomorrow i have to go to wal mart to get ready for tennesee, then church. i hope camp is awesome, this is my first one, so im a little nervous. but i bet it'll be great. well, ill try to get to sleep soon. good night.
throw your L's up in the air
hey everybody,
i went to los olas today with my sister, my cousin jamie and his wife catherine. we walked the beach a little and ate at the oasis cafe. i had a real good philly cheesesteak sub. we had fun, jamie and catherine liked it cause they live in virginia now and its hard to get to the beach. now im back home, just hangin out in my room. everybody is out in the living room playing my little cousin's nintendo wii. just droppin by to give an update. dinner is soon but i dont think i can eat anymore for a little bit.
i need a nap.

night shift
hey everybody. im here waiting for my cousin to get in. im pulling the night shift while my family sleeps. it should be pretty cool, we're getting some family in for the next week and it should be keeping me busy. im looking forward to seeing everybody because i havent seen them in about a year, we'll get to tour em around MIA. woot. man, i hope we rent a jet ski. i was watching a comedian a few days ago, and he made a good point, its impossible to be sad when you're riding a jet ski. next time you get on one, go ahead, try and frown. you can't do it, itll crack in to a smile as you gun through turns and chop over waves.
resurrection in a nutshell
there, i just put all the old stuff up.
i just finished reading this little section in the back of my bible about the validity of the resurrection, and it was real simple and straight to the point. not to mention very convincing. i just thought it was cool how simply they stated everything, id never seen it put together so clearly.
but yeah... its a little past 2:30, and i have to finish watching this rerun of sportscenter before i go to bed. good night all.

a slightly more optimistic rant
i was eating dinner today and talking to my family.
politics came up, and a lot of people had a lot of different ideas.
who knows where this election is going? right now its wide open.
but me and my sister got flak for being idealistic. i just dont understand some people. there are so many problems in the world and we're born into a land of oppurtunities. millions are being slaughtered in sudan, children are killing each other in uganda, people are having natural freedoms withheld by oppressive governments in places like china, unborn babies die here everyday. and what do we do? nothing.
its ridiculous, we're given everything yet we sit around and turn away from the problems in the world, because it doesnt affect us.
me included, i dont do nearly enough.
people ask who are we to interfere? why is it our responsibility?
it shouldnt be our responsibility, its the world's responsibility to step in on matters like this, but we have no strong international organization where we can talk things out with threatened countries on even footing, or any strong international organization that can take charge. the UN doesnt have the power it needs to be the world's police.
so we have to spearhead change.
america, and idealists like you and me.
im tired of the polarizing politics in this country, the media controlling what we think and blaring out the extremes of the political spectrum, im tired of lobbyists and corporations buying our senators and congressman. im tired of the whole system.
im not suggesting anarchy or anything. but im sure there are many other reasonable and moderate people out there that are sick of this corrupt two party system.
i dont know what to do.
come start a centrist party with me.
together, we can change the world.
i know i sound like a hippie, but change needs to start somewhere, and why not here, with us?
we could be the grassroots.
its one world, and we can make a difference.
in fact, we have to make a difference.

an old rant
well, ive been thinking lately. how much we're ripped off in the world. mechanics, ac repair men, oil companies. its not right. i really got mad that these big companies are just lining their own pockets with money and jacking up prices for all of us. and i was thinking what could put a stop to it. naturally, i think the government, and then i realize no, they cant. did you know being brought up in the education system here, not once did a teacher suggest i write to a congressman to tell him about some of our problems and what we want him to do for us. ive been raised just knowing he has the power, why would he listen to us. ive been taught that my voice has no say. we freakin elected him! he's supposed to represent us, but he doesnt. he doesnt represent the people he ran for, or even his own platform, he runs for himself and the lobbyists that paid for his campaign that in turn got him into office. and who pays the lobbyists? the big corporations. so they basically own the government. and who in the government is going to bite the hands that feeds them and stand up for us and stop the raping increases in prices? no one. it makes me sick. theres just so much wrong with the system. bring back teddy roosevelt and some trustbusting or something. now, i love my country and am probably one of the biggest patriots you will meet, but i know its not perfect, theres way to improve it. we need to take business out of the white house. why does everything revolve around the bottom line? i guess money is the root of all evil, huh? i dont know. i dont have the answers. but w/e. theres my liberal rant. and you know, with my conservative views on social issues... i'm a man without a home. what party do i turn to? lol. whatever, we'll see how things work out. i'm just letting off steam. so on that note, good day!
