back to the grind

winter break is officially over tomorrow... i go back to school. it is going to be a long day. see, i'm taking a couple classes at the community college here so i can get out of school earlier in the day. i'm taking two classes so i should only have to take 2 at everglades, except broward schools is jacked up and decided to not match up the semesters and they overlap. so for the next two weeks (while the everglades semester ends) i have to go to class all day at everglades, work, and then go to bcc for more class. its gonna be exhausting. but when i get out early next semester and have all that free time, its gonna be sweet. so, i figure if i can get through these next two weeks ill be set. on a side note, i was on my way home tonight and i heard "song of the redeemed" in the car. its a worship song that was featured at our church's summer camp, and man i was taken back (i sound like an old man). all i gotta say is, i miss summer vacation. it was so laid back, i had so much free time, summer camp was awesome, everything seemed new and exciting. i dont know if im gonna make it to summer vacation this year. this year is stinking long, its hard to believe its finally half over, though. all of you who told me that senior year was gonna fly by... you're all liars. well, i should go to bed, since i got school in the morning (ugh!). good night.

p.s.- church was good today, in case you were wondering. cool lesson about the resurrection, the kids seemed to enjoy it.

what up?

hey guys, just wanted to update yall on everything going on lately. it hasnt been anything real special, but life is good. school is going great, and i just signed up to dual enroll next semester, which means i get out every day at 10:45!(im sure shannon is rolling her eyes as she reads that) score. i have class at BCC two nights a week though. but thats alright, definitely worth it. Christmas break is right around the corner, and im stoked. i gotta finish gettin gifts tomorrow before church. speaking of church, we just had a sawgrass student ministry Christmas party. it was awesome, it was at one of my boy's, Caprio's, house. it was a perfect place for the party, plenty of room, we hooked up the 360, the PS3, and the Wii they had over there, played some games, ate some pizza, passed out some gifts, it was pretty sweet. oh yeah, and KJ 52 called, apparently Caprio's dad knows him. how crazy is that? but it was a lot of fun but as always a lot of work, but i was glad to do it. we had a good turn out. i'm really stoked for the break coming up, and the growth of our ministry. and to top it all off my sister's babies are perfectly healthy. they had some problems last week, but the specialist found no trace of it. definitely answered prayer. so thanks to everybody whos been praying, please keep praying, and i want you to know i love all of you.

school computers blow

hello all, im currently sitting in the media center at school, writing this blog. we had to look up some viruses and stuff, im done so im killing time. i just took some quiz online that matched me with the best fit possible presidential candidate based on some issues i voted on. i was matched up with duncan hunter(?) my boy mike huckabee, and joe biden. its kind of funny cause it verified what ive been saying all along. i agreed with the republicans on all the social issues, but the democrats on most of the economic/global issues. thats why i registered as an independent. fight the power! but i really am done with this two party system.

matt is currently cranking some jams next to me. i dont know how none of the teachers/administrators notice. gotta love everglades. well, we're about to go back to class, so i should sign off. ill keep you all updated on my life. ill bust onto shannon's computer later and fill you all in. peace.

2nd day

only 174 (i think) days of school left. hallelujah! today wasnt as bad as yesterday, it went a little quicker. i thought i was going to choke from the stupidity when my 4th hour teacher had to explain to the class what a million was. (a one followed by six zeros, in case you were wondering) but it was ok, i have to bring something to entertain me tomorrow though, maybe ill grab a book or something. but i came home, worked out, ate, did my little bit of homework, then realized my day was done at 6. so i waited around for shannon to finish her homework and then got to talk to her for a while (thus why im so hyper right now). now i dont know what to do. i realized that if everyday is like this, then i can definitely handle a job during the week. maybe i can go flip some burgers and make a quick buck. we'll see. well, im gonna go search for a book, then hopefully go to sleep at a decent time. so im signing off, hope all of you out there had a good day as well, and an even better one tomorrow.

first day of school

so today was the first day of my senior year, awesome right? eh, it was ok. my first two classes (ap environmental sci and volleyball) look like they're gonna be pretty good. but my last two (gov and earth/space) look like they may seem longer than they are. so now im all set for school tomorrow, i guess i could get ahead and do some homework since my girlfriend needs 10-12 hours of sleep a night and is already in bed, so i have some free time that i dont know what to do with. ill go figure something out to do. on the bright side, theres only 174 school days left for me. man... keep the prayers coming. :)

last day of freedom

so tomorrow at 7:20 ill be once again, stuck in school. its really getting old. at least this is senior year, which should be better than the rest. im actually not dreading school so much. it shouldnt be so bad. i cant go to sleep cause i crashed when i got back from sawgrass today. man, i got to climb the light towers, it was so much fun. number of workers were down, but it was all good. then i had home group, then i got to chill with shannon for a few hours. it was awesome. so now ill go stare at the ceiling for a few hours as i wait to fall asleep. stinkin school.

dont procrastinate

so today i decided to tackle the last bit of summer work i had. which was read this book and write an essay. problem is, i underestimated this book. in the words of my friend matt, its pretty trippy. its called Ishmael, its about this super smart gorilla who is teaching this 30 year old what is wrong with civilization. i dont know. i knocked out half of it today. ill read the other half tomorrow and write the paper before church. then im free til monday. hallelujah! man, i cant believe summer is almost over. its alright, school wont be as bad as last year, i have an easier schedule, so ill more time to do fun stuff other than go home, do homework, go to bed.

so now im gonna go see how my sox did today against the angels. they had a double header, and a rookie on the mound, maybe a promising young stud to fill out the rotation. man, i can smell a pennant this year. its gonna be sick. preseason has started and college is getting ready to kick off! praise the Lord, football season is almost upon us! im stoked.
